The Hôtel Martinez was inaugurated in 1929. It is the must-visit spot on the Croisette. Recently, it was renovated in its original Art Deco style, while incorporating touches of the colors of the French Riviera. In this context, the Durst Gallery placed a striking painting in the hotel’s entrance, featuring the colors of the Hôtel.

The Gallery also curated a selection of artworks for the rooms and corridors of the hotel. Its aim was to pay homage to the refined elegance of the space, while subtly incorporating Art Deco motifs into several of the pieces.
